A vacation to Florida offers you dozens of opportunities to enjoy the local food and drink. If you appreciate sampling the local cuisine on any trip, you’ll want to see if your next vacation coincides with one of the great festivals on offer throughout the state. Each month hosts something new for visitors to Florida, and we love exploring some of these pop-up events throughout the year. Keep reading to learn about the must-visit food festivals to experience in Florida each year.

Key West Lobsterfest, Key West

Key West is known for its excellent seafood restaurants, so if you are lucky enough to visit in August, you’ll enjoy this celebration of everyone’s favorite seafood. Of course, one of the highlights of the event is dining on fresh lobster, however, there’s far more to this celebration than just that. You’ll enjoy concerts, pub crawls, a street fair, and much more during this event each summer.

Florida Strawberry Festival, Plant City

Revolving around one of the world’s most popular fruits, the Florida Strawberry Festival takes place in Plant City. As you can imagine, they’ll be desserts and sweet treats for you to try throughout the event, which is usually held in March each year. As well as tasting all of the delicious goodies on offer, there are plenty of stalls to look around and activities for the whole family. Enjoy rides, seeing animals, and watching the live entertainment that takes place during this event.

Epcot’s International Food & Wine Festival, Orlando

One of the highlights of the event calendar each year at Walt Disney World is this festival that takes place in the fall in Epcot each year. It’s spread around the whole of the park, and as you stroll World Showcase, you’ll visit dozens of stalls offering food and drinks from around the world. The portions are generally sample size, so you can spend your whole day nibbling on exotic treats and meals that you might not have tried before. As well as the food booths, there are concerts, demonstrations, and celebrity chefs to see during this time. While Disney may be associated with kids and families, this is one event that attracts plenty of adults and locals.

A Taste of St. Augustine

Taking place in April each year, this food festival celebrates the wonderful local restaurants in St. Augustine. You’ll enjoy sampling food from more than twenty-five restaurants, which will be competing for various awards during the festival. It’s a great event for the whole family, and adults will appreciate the local wine and beer offerings.

Local events always make a great addition to any trip to Florida, and you’ll want to keep an eye on the events calendar for the location you are visiting on your next trip. After a busy day or two of dining on local specialties, your whole family will enjoy going on a Cape Coral Fishing Trip. It’s the perfect way to unwind after a few busy days eating while relaxing and admiring Florida’s stunning natural scenery.
